Chateau Vignot Saint Emilion Grand Cru, 2009.
$19.99 at Wine & Spirits on Gandy.
Enjoyed with delicious salad, steak, and baked potatoes by Lauren.

Lauren says, “Color is a deep plum. Scent of smoke, berries, cedar, and vanilla. Taste is mildly spicy with medium tannins (we decanted for 2 hours) and a hint of black pepper. Tart blackberry and clove flavors also noted. Very balanced, smooth, and enjoyable overall. A good pick for a heavier, full-bodied red wine. Pairs very well with steak; not too overpowering.⭐️8/10.”

Zach says, “ Our first sampling of wine from Bordeaux’s region of St. Émilion proved delightful. The wine was decanted for 2 hours prior to drinking. Deep purple in color. The wine’s nose is alluring. Rich notes of black olive, dust, aged pine, and black cherry. The age of this wine, I think, really adds to the complexity of the nose. Mouthfeel is luscious and incredibly smooth. Taste is balanced: beautifully structured tannins are in perfect harmony with straightforward acidity. Taste of pepper, spice, and dust. Medium length finish. Perfect wine for red meat. ⭐️8.5/10”
