Etude Pinot Noir for a Second Time
October 19, 2017
Etude Pinot Noir, 2014.
Purchased for $23.99 at Fine Wine and Spirits on Gandy
Our first wine tasting after being all moved in at our new apartment! Enjoyed with cheddar cheese, Parmesan, and garlic toast.
Lauren says, "Scent of red berry and earth. Nice mineral taste with overwhelming acidity. Not as sweet, fruity, or rich as Buena Vista. Very smooth overall with a pleasant aftertaste. Tart black berry seems to be the main fruit flavor. Might need more aeration time than originally anticipated. 7/10."
Zach says, "Nose of red fruit, earth, cedar, and light vanilla. Taste, though very pleasing, is mildly bitter compared to other Carneros Pinot Noirs. Overall, the wine is still smooth, moderately acidic, and enjoyable. 7/10."
