Justin Cabernet Sauvignon

Justin Cabernet Sauvignon, 2015.
Purchased for $19.99 at Publix.
Zach's selection for New Year's Day. We decanted this bottle for about an hour.

Lauren says, "Thick, dark crimson color. Strong scent of blackberry. Sweet and jam-y. Plum, blackberry, and raspberry flavors. Slightly tannic and medium-bodied mouth feel. Surprising sweetness paired with balanced tannins. Tasted this blind and assuming this is a Cab (due to the tannins) or a Zin (due to the fruitiness). I actually like it a lot even though it is somewhat simple and straightforward. The sweetness almost borders on a dessert wine or something? 8/10."
Zach says, "Deep purple in color. Nose is thick, sweet, and heavy. Notes of potent berry, currant jelly, and canned cranberry sauce. Full-bodied with moderate tannin. Very heavy, not complex, but could pair well with bold dishes or rare meats. Finish is nectar-like, viscous – seemingly never ending.  Not something I would drink regularly, for it is too heavy and too one dimensional. 6/10."
