Revelation Chardonnay

December 16, 2017

Revelation Chardonnay, 2016.
Purchased for $5.99 at Trader Joe’s.

Lauren says, "Smells of oak and grass. Taste is sharp and crisp at first. Then transitions into smooth butter. Ends on a note of slightly dry oak flavors that linger. Tastes more complex and expensive than expected, especially for the price. I actually like it for a Chard. Has some sweetness to it that I like, possibly honey or caramel undertones. 7.5/10."
Zach says, "Nose is floral and crisp with hints of tropical fruit and cool sea breeze. Taste is refreshing, acidic, and straightforward. Finish is warm and buttery. The oak is light and approachable. Overall, this wine serves as a very inexpensive substitute for Mer Soleil. 7.5/10."
