Lauren says, “Plum color. Nose of tart red cherries, blueberries, and tobacco. Moderate tannins and acidity balance this wine. Flavors of dried herbs, vanilla, and earth compliment the underlying cherry notes. There is something very rich and endearing about this wine that I love. The only thing that holds this wine back is the long dry finish. I think this is a Cabernet from California or a merlot. 7/10.”
Zach says, “The most unique aspect of this wine is it’s nose. The nose is heavy, unique, evocative, and carnal - perhaps to a fault. Notes of diesel, canned cranberries, and vanilla. Almost too powerful to be appreciated. However, the nose definitely evolves from chemical/petroleum to fruity with time. Color is deep purple. Full bodied mouthfeel. Moderate tannin and acidity. Very looooong, dry finish. Over time, this wine definitely improves out of the bottle! Would work wonderfully with soft cheeses and lasagnas. Definitely old world. 7/10.”
