Charles Debourges Sancerre, 2017.

Zach says, “This wine inspires poetry. Color is clear-yellow. Nose is self-assured, flinty, and imbued with wet stoniness. Notes of honeydew, ocean spray, and herb (maybe Italian parsley). Sancerre has such a lovely minerality - I think of it as a great companion for a variety of meals. I would go so far as to say this variety is the most versatile of all whites. Perfect for sweet, delicate seafood dishes. Taste is sharp, acidic, and delicate. Finish is concise and organized. There is a high degree of salinity that is reminiscent of ocean water. Love this wine. 9/10.

Lauren says, “Light cream color. Strong aroma of melon, apricot, and white peach. Tons of mineralogy and acidity. Hints of citrus and honeydew flavors throughout. Very pleasant. Pairs amazingly with shellfish. A great white. Very decent but not amazing for a Sancerre. 8/10.
