Lauren says, “Garnet gem color. Aroma of old wine barrels and clean laundry. Flavors of dried black cherry and black berry. A sharp ending with some tannins and vanilla flavor throughout. Mild for a tannic wine and nice overall. Medium bodied. Not much sweetness but pairs amazingly with truffle cheese and prosciutto. 7/10 with food. 6/10 alone.”
Zach says, “Mazzaro’s was having a wine sampling, and I chose this bottle. Color is rich garnet. Nose is light and lovely. Notes of red fruit, licorice, and wet moss. Medium-bodied mouthfeel. Acidity and tannin are perfectly in balance. Finish isn’t impressively long, but is warm and vanilla-like. Overall, a nice red for strong flavors like truffle cheese or rich red sauces. 7.7/10”
