Row Eleven Pinot Noir, 2016.
$14.99 at Mazzaro’s .
Lauren says, “Rusty ruby color. Aroma of oak, cherry, and plump strawberries. Acidic and light-bodied. Pleasant overall. Subtle red fruits compliment the oak. Simple but not uninteresting. Good for a summer day. 8/10.”
Zach says, “At first glance, the wine looks thin and watery. Color is ruby red with light pink around the rim. Nose, taste, and mouthfeel are highly reminiscent of a fine Carneros Pino Noir. Nose is dominated by fresh fruit. Notes of candied raspberry and light oak. Light-bodied mouthfeel. Very light tannin. Fresh, beautiful acidity. Lingering, fruity finish. Overall, very nice with character and consistency to match a Pino Noir double its price. 8/10”
