Lauren says “Purple like a plum. Floral and herbaceous. Smells like eucalyptus, Black cherry, and roses. Reminiscent of a garden filled with soil. Flavor of cedar and dark fruit jam. Full bodied. Aftertaste is syrupy but then earthy with mild bitterness. I like everything except the mildly bitter coating left in my mouth. Probably a 6.5/10 for me because of that. Food might help alleviate this.”
Zach says “Color is garnet with a salmon-pinkish rim. Appears thin in the glass. Nose is enjoyable, simple, and rich with character. Notes of prune/red fruit, molasses, and straw. The taste is extremely sharp and acidic. This is the perfect wine for a rich tomato source or hearty meat dish. I could see how its potent acidity could really cut through a dish. Medium to heavy mouthfeel. Medium tannin. Medium acidity. Slightly bitter, but fresh and lengthy finish. 7.5/10”
