Lauren says, “Maroon color. Aroma of licorice, anise, and cherry. Medium bodied. Nice tannins. Earthy flavor. Definitely baking spices and oak. Interesting overall. Only drawback for me is the finish, which is too dry and long. 7.5/10. ”
Zach says, “I purchased this bottle, because it was the last bottle in the store and it was collecting dust in a site out of view of most customers. This may seem counterintuitive (and it might be), but I felt that its solitary and hidden position meant it was a hidden gem.
Color is ruby red and appears thick in the glass. Nose is moderately complex and inviting. Notes of licorice, oak, candied cherries, and earth dance around the rim of the glass. Full-bodied mouthfeel. Moderately tannic with bright, vibrant acidity. The finish is long and fruity. Very drinkable. 7.7/10”
