Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc

July 8, 2019

Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc, 2018.
~$20.00 from Tim's Wine Shop.

Zach says, “Happy birthday, Lauren. For this rare occasion, I seared some Colossal Scallops from Lucky’s. They were HUGE. Lauren selected this bottle from Tim’s Wine Shop.

Color is a very diluted yellow. Nose is fresh and sharp like Sauvignon Blanc should be. Notes of lime, mandarin orange, and freshly mowed grass. Highly acidic. A textbook cold climate Sauvignon Blanc. A perfect pairing for our dish. Not as sharp and concise as Cloudy Bay. 7.7/10”

Lauren says, “Very pale yellow color. Aroma of grass, green beans, and lime citrus. Light bodied, crisp, and refreshing. Very acidic. Flavor of sharp, grapefruit. Definitely a longer finish than Cloudy Bay and almost as delightful. I find it more acidic and less balanced. Leaves your mouth watering. 8/10.”
