Gnarly Head 1924 Double Black Red Blend.
BOGO at Publix.
Lauren says, ”Plum purple color. Smell is very jammy with a hint of earthiness. Medium bodied. Acidic with medium tannins. Flavors of baking spices, vanilla, plum, and cherries. Decent for a BOGO bottle. Assuming this is zin and cab mostly. 7/10”
Zach says, “This was a Publix BOGO. The nose is expressive and inviting. Notes of jammy red fruit, vanilla, potpourri/patchouli, and cigar box. This wine spells like a pleasant, wine witch. For all that the nose has in complexity and warmth, the mouthfeel and taste is lacking. Mildly acidic. Mildly tannic. Medium-heavy mouthfeel. Finish is is fruity, but slightly metallic. Must be predominantly Zin. 6/10”
