Zach says, “This wine is relatively restrained and subtle. Each element is congruent and enjoyable. When considered as a whole, these elements produce a very enjoyable drinking experience. The nose is subtle, but intriguing. Notes of raspberry/boysenberry jam, pencil shavings, and roasted coffee. Sanguine in color. I really enjoy the way this wine tastes and feels in the mouth. Very smooth and acidic with moderate tannin and slight tang. The finish lasts about 20 seconds and is imbued with dark fruit and vanilla flavors. Medium-bodied. The more I drink it, the more I find to like. 9/10.”
Lauren says, “Deep purple color. Smokey aroma of plums, mint, and vanilla. Medium bodied. Very smooth. Earthy undertones (olives, green beans). Balanced acidity and big tannins. Pleasant and intriguing. Some spicy flavor of black pepper and bitter dark chocolate. I like it. Slightly dry and I think it will be better once it opens up some. 8.5/10 at the moment. Probably a 9/10 once it airs some. ”
