Domaine Rotier Gaillac, 2013.
Enjoyed at the holidays with some guest stars!
Zach says, “It smells better than it tastes. Has a not entirely pleasing nose. Notes of black tea, licorice, rotten lavender, and ear wax. Very sharp, acidic taste at first then entirely insipid. Medium bodied. Finish is okay. Fruity. Medium tannin. 4/10”
Scott says “I don’t love the bouquet. It has a bit of a stank. It tastes better than it smells. Smells like a wh*reh*use. 8/10”
Lauren says, “Garnet color. Very floral aroma. I smell eucalyptus and herbs. Flavor of rose water, earth, and walnuts. Reminds me of soda at first scent (not sure why). I don’t mind it. Tastes very French. 6/10.”
Stacy says, “Smooth and strong bouquet. Don’t eat it with turkey. Smooth, taste like soil. 7/10”
