Lauren says, “Ruby red. Earthy aroma of moss, tea leaves, and sharp dark chocolate. Medium to full bodied. Heavy tannins. Notes of vanilla and smoke. A hint of licorice and ethanol on the ending. It has a long, sharp finish. Decent but might need some time. 7/10. After 30 minutes, the dark fruit comes out and it is more approachable.”
Zach says, “Cherry red in the glass. Pretty complex nose: red fruit, cranberry, garlic, toasted carmel or vanilla, and plastic. When I first smelled the wine I was getting maple syrup and something rather musty, but this didn’t last. Medium to full bodied. Nice balanced acidity. Smooth, tannins are lasting and insynch with lasting vanilla and red fruit. I think this is a solid 7.8-8/10. Also… the price is right.”
