Groth Cabernet Sauvignon

Groth Cabernet Sauvignon, 2017.
Lauren says, “Deep ruby in the glass. Aroma of mushroom, leather, and eucalyptus. Full bodied. Good tannins. Give it some time to decant. Tart blackberry flavor with a hint of black tea, dried herbs and black pepper. Definitely spicy for a cab and less fruity than most . I love it. If you want something dry and herbaceous without being too exotic, this is for you. 9/10.”
Zach says, “Cherry red in the glass with a pink rim. Nose is cloying and tantalizing. Notes of wet earth, espresso, and mocha at first but quickly opens to toasted marshmallow and currants. I find the mouthfeel is perfection. Dry with ample red fruit acidity to balance. The most delightful balance I have had since the last fine Barolo we sampled. Highly tannic. Long, lasting finish. If the nose was a little more forward, this would be nearly perfect. 9/10.”
