Muga Rioja Reserva
March 27, 2022
Muga Rioja Reserva.
At Hillstone in Orlando.
Lauren says, “Garnet in the glass with a plum colored core. Aroma of red cherry, soil and vanilla. Medium bodied. Decent tannins with acidity as well. Flavor of cocoa and plum. I like it. Rioja is usually hit or miss for me and this is a very decent Rioja. 8/10.”
Zach says, “Garnet red in the glass. Classic rioja on the nose. Super expressive. Notes of dusty cherry, cedar, game, and wet loam. Medium bodied. Moderately tannic. A bit too much tart acidity on the finish for me that leaves things a bit off kilter. 8.5/10 at first, then a bit of a let down. Overall, 7.8/10.“
