Saumur Champigny Les Villaises, 2020.

Zach says, “Rich purple red in the glad. Notes of berry, ash, and earth. A lot of pepper on the palate. Would be good with meats, but what wouldn’t? A wine characteristic of the style but not my favorite and something I wouldn’t necessarily recommend. Medium bodied. High tannin. Quite tart on the finish. 5.5/10.”

Lauren says, “Aroma of red fruit and something funky like mold. Medium bodied. High acidity. Medium tannins. Kinda a weird mouthfeel. Flavor of smoke? Just something weird about this that I don’t like. 5/10.”
