Lauren says, “Ruby red with a bright red rim. Aroma of dried tea leaves, green beans, vanilla, and alcohol soaked red cherries. Medium body. High acidity. Medium tannins. High alcohol. Flavor of vanilla and tart raspberry and cherries. I think it needs an hour to decant. Seriously a great deal. Balanced. Just give it a little bit of time and it will go from an 8.5/10 to a 9.5/10.”
Zach says, “Plum purple with rust red rim. Needs 1-2 hours on the decanter due to youth and oak aging. However, even on the first, early sips there is balance and vigor. On the nose, red fruit, black licorice, wet soil, and oak. High tannin. High acidity. Medium bodied. Finish is concise and lasting—red fruit and vanilla cola. This is a muscular wine. It’s not about finesse here, but strength and consistently. This is a go-to, easy, and agreeable pairing/table wine. I am enjoying it more-and-more as the oak settles. 9/10.”
