Stein Blauschiefer Riesling Trocken

Stein Blauschiefer Riesling Trocken, 2021.
Zach says, “Light yellow with a green sheen. This is not a porch wine. She is super acidic and wonderful for food, but her petrol notes and richness lend much better to food than relaxation on your patio. A spectacular pairing wine for middle eastern fares — specifically as it pertains to sesame/tahini and subtle spice. Leave a sweeter Riesling for your spicy Southeast Asian takeout. Nose of sweet green apple and plastic (petrol). Medium complexity. Petrol notes flare as this medium bodied wine makes its way across your palate. There is high acidity here and vibrance that seems to go on ad infinitum. Very subtle sweetness. 8/10.”
Lauren says, “ Medium yellow with a slight green hue. Aroma of peach, kumquat, and slight petrol (usual for Riesling). Medium to full body. Medium acidity. Flavor of honeycomb, kumquat, honeydew, and stone fruit. Long finish. Perfect with food. A little heavy without food. I do love this wine but can’t rate it as high as I would like because it needs a food pairing to be amazing. 8.5/10.”
