Zach says, “Light pink with an orange rim. Right off the bat, I am hit with notes of black tea and eucalyptus. Then cherry. Light bodied. Light tannins. High acidity. A lot of raspberry on the finish that is long lasting and evolved into black tea. The age complicated things a bit for me on my assessment, as things are slightly more muted. Overall, I am struck by this wine as it is something of a Barolo jr jr. It’s Barolo’s grandson who went to a liberal arts school and studied philosophy. I have a lot of appreciation for that. So much character. I think this would pair amazingly with miso. 8/10.”
Lauren says, “Ruby red with a slightly orange rim/tint. Aroma of candied pecans, golden raisins, and vanilla loose tea leaves. Light to medium body. Medium acidity. Light tannins. Flavor of black tea and raspberry. Interesting, light. Worth a try. Could be paired with something in order to truly shine! I feel like this could go well with something breaded with a salty/herby sauce(tofu, chicken or even fish). 7.5/10. Food could take this to an 8.5.”
