Collacapretta Le Cese, 2020.
Zach says, “Rust red with a plum sheen. Nose is fruity. Notes of raspberry, plum, and sandalwood. A lot of berry on the palate. Light bodied. High acidity. Very very long, berry finish. Needs 30-45 minutes before fully opening up. I do enjoy her. 7.5/10.”
Lauren says, “Ruby center with a garnet rim. Aroma of tobacco, earth, and cherry. Medium body. Medium acidity. Medium tannins. Flavor of dried plum, black cherry, and dark chocolate. Very decent, but, at first, I long for something more interesting (for the price). However, this wine evolves with a little time. It is easy to drink because it is extremely balanced. 7/10 initially but definitely give it 30-40 min to decant. Will become an 8/10. I think it would be amazing with BBQ ribs.”
