G.D. Vajra Albe Barolo

G.D. Vajra Albe Barolo, 2018.

Lauren says, “Rusty garnet. Strong aroma of dusty red cherry, leather, tobacco, and earth. Medium body. High tannin and high acidity. Hits you with mouth watering cherry, hay, tea, and slight licorice/cassis. Super dry but I like it a lot. Let it decant! Perfect with steak. 9/10.”

Zach says, “Rusty red and translucent in the glass. At first, cherry, full throttle cherry on the nose. Over time, this evolves and there are notes of eucalyptus and hay.  Explosively tannic. Full bodied. Acidity flares at the exact right moment — almost off setting the dryness. It’s a drinking experience. I find that I get lost in the subtleties of Barolo.  I really just love it. Pure and concentrated. Medium-long finish. Perhaps missing some complexity. 9/10.”
