Zach says, “Rusty red with an almost kalamata-like sheen. Nose is unique. Initially I get this mezcal/smokiness then with further swirling I get tinned cherries, rhubarb, cedar, and warm incense. Light bodied. High acidity.  Mild to mod tannin. Surprising concentration and length on the finish given the light bodied mouthfeel. Drinkable and complex in unconventional ways. To celebrate Lauren passing WSET level 1.  Our first Frappato. 8/10.”

Lauren says, “Bright ruby red with a slightly rusty rim. A strange nose! I get something like earl grey tea, canned green beans, cured/smoked meat, wet soil, and slight black currant. Medium body. High acidity. Medium tannins. Flavor is straightforward & simple compared to the nose. Notes of tart red cherry and slight smokiness/ash. Definitely interesting and weirdly incongruent (not necessarily a bad thing). The finish is very long. Might need some time to air, which I will try doing. Would pair well with charcuterie. 7/10 initially.”
