Lauren says, “Deep plum color. Aroma of licorice, cassis, and blueberry jam. The scent is reminiscent of dessert wine. Full bodied. High acidity. High tannins. Flavor of blackberries, licorice and slight violet & cocoa. Something about this feels boozy! Think crème de cassis. Super unique. Smooth. Have not had any wine like this. Needs some time to open up, highly tannic with a long finish. Definitely heavy. 9.5/10.”
Zach says, “Dark plum colored in the glass. This wine is huge, concentrated, luxurious, and complex. Has a port-like quality. Nose with notes cassis, lavender, wet soil, and burnt orange rind. Full bodied. High tannin. Medium acidity. Super long finish. This wine is muscular, forward, and potent. Finishes with dried herbs, dark chocolate notes and raisinated wild berries. This would be spectacular with rich Italian dishes. Could cut through any fatty meat or acidic sauce. I would say might be too masculine/rich to give a perfect score. 9.5/10.”
