Zach says, “Plum purple in the glass. Got better with time. Needed at least two hours to breathe off some of the heady oak. Nose with notes of blackberry, cherry, milk chocolate, musk/dust. Fully bodied. High tannin. Mild acidity. These high-quality Spanish reds are dusty and finish bone dry — they are creamy and rich. I can imagine that someone tough made this wine, for it is sturdy. Went great with filet mignon. I think that dusty, mod to low acidity thing is characteristic of fine Spanish red. I think I lean more towards the acidity of fine Italian wine, but can appreciate this. Very long finish. 8.5/10.”
Lauren says, “Deep plum red. It has a heady nose. Potent aroma of licorice and vanilla. Full body. High tannins. Medium acidity. Very smooth. Flavor of red fruit, cassis, and oak. Definitely a classic presentation. 8/10.”
