Zach says, “Brick red in the glass.
Fascinating, complex nose. At first I get notes of saffron, then spanish moss/earth, cherry, and smoke.
Subtle red fruit, bright olive, and mocha on the palate.
Balanced, moderate acidity.
Medium bodied.
Moderately tannic.
Long, earthy finish.
At first I was underwhelmed, but with some time in the glass I was hit by nuance and the uniquely Italian acidity I love so much.
9/10.”
Lauren says, “Deep ruby. Aroma of red cherry licorice, fennel, and cocoa powder. High acidity. Medium tannins. Medium body. Needed some time to open up. Flavor has a lot of cherry with slight earth & mint. 8/10 but changed 8.5/10 after an hour.”
